Kauai Hiking

    Even if your not the hiking type you will want to do some type of hiking in Kauai. Its just too fulfilling to walk around and explore while visiting Kauai. There are so many hiking trails all over Kauai because most of Kauai is inaccessible directly by car. There is a great variety of Kauai hiking trails from easy to challenging. One of the more popular hiking trips is hiking in Waimea Canyon. And probably the most difficult hike in Kauai is a hike to the Na Pali Coast, which is too long and hard to hike there and back in one day. A very good hike is a hike to the top of Sleeping Giant Mountain. It is a somewhat strenuous hike but not at all over bearing. The reward is when you are on the top of Sleeping Giant Mountain and you can see the inland mountain Waialeale and the Wailua River flowing to the sea. Hiking maps are available through the Division of State Parks. Remember to bring comfortable shoes.
